One of the three pieces of my Vincent Valentine Costume which i still possess. The cape is modeled after the DoC version, which was slightly different (and i think an improvement) than how it was worn in AC. It measures approximately 5 1/2 feet from shoulder to ragged trailing edge. The cape itself is constructed out of velvet from an old theatre curtain, and though the picture doesn't show it, is a rich vibrant red as close to the original as i have ever seen. It is equipped with naugahyde straps, and air-drying-clay buckles, intricately sculpted and painted to match the originals. The specially stiffened upper cowl slips right over the head like a turtleneck sweater, and is quite warm let me tell you.
How did you get the cowl to stand up?
the fabric was glued onto some sort of internal stiff tube structure, im afraid i dont remember specifics
WOW... how did you make the cross things on the ends of the belts?
yep, i actually made a stamp thing that i used on a 1/4 in thick layer of sculpey, ive still got the stamp so i could still make more if i needed to
hmm. thats an idea. ty ^^ that was one of the most difficult parts, i'd figure... but probably i am goung to cos play yazoo (one of sepiroths remnants, the one wor most resembles him) first. since i'll wait till its sales time and i can get all fabrick half price. downside is that i will not have very much time to make stuff like vincents in. but ah, well see. tnx for the help anyway ^^ (do you have a pattern for vince's coat, by any chance?)
Hey I was wondering how did you attach the buckles and the clay peieces of the buckles? Since I am in the staging process of making my own Vincent cosplay and have got stuck.
to attach the belts to the cape i believe i used staples (i dont have a sewing machine and/or am terribly lazy) and i used super glue to attach the buckles to the belts, i recommend sculpey over air drying clay as its less brittle
thanks for the tip cuz the belts have been giving me trouble
its also worth saying that i didnt actually have/use belts, i used two layers of fake leather upholstery, so it was black on both sides, easier to staple through
very very cool looking. I salute you
What are the belt strap things? Are they like, normal belts or dog collar belt things? Thanks
actually i cut thin strips of fake black leather (Naugahyde) and glued two of them together so it was black on both sides, the buckles were made of sculpey
AMAZING. Vincent is walking around now wondering where his cape hs gone. Proberly interigating Yuffie.
How exactly did you make that? I'm going as Vincent Valentine to a con and I need help! Please and Thank you!
im afraid im honestly not sure how to outline how it was made more than i did in the description
Hey there, I know you've noted this as sold but I'd love to talk to you about a possible discussion for a price over another!
Let me know!!

WOW! Absolutely amazing job! Did it take a long time to make?
not too long in the grand scheme of things, the fact that i didnt have to hem it helped
My jeebus! That's AMAZINGLY done. It looks VERY well made and has good craftmanship. Man, I totally wish I was around to bid on that. D'= Man, I'd wear that everywhere.. You can't find ANYTHING remotely as good as this now.
